Riceberry Rice
Ricebery is a type of jasmine rice with red/black color when raw, and it turns purple/black when cooked. It is long grain rice with the husk removed, but the bran and germ are not milled out.
It contains anthocyanins which are antioxidant. The absorbed anthocyanins (by the human body) show high inhibition to the mobility and invasion ability of some cancers in humans and may be beneficial against cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, and obesity.
Although the name is Riceberry, please note that it does not have a berry taste.
